SKOKIE, IL—AZEK® Building Products, No. 1 in premium decking, is launching new fastening systems at the 2018 National Association of Home Builders International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida from January 9th – 11th, 2018.
The company is announcing the launch of TOPLoc® for AZEK® Deck, designed specifically to work with the brand’s lightweight, capped polymer decking. The TOPLoc for AZEK fasteners are high-quality, 305-grade, stainless steel screws with painted heads that pair with all AZEK decking colors. These fasteners are designed to help builders and contractors complete projects beautifully. TOPLoc for AZEK also comes with a Torx® ttap® drive system for wobble-free installation and is also available for the installation of AZEK® Fascia.
AZEK Building Products is also announcing a new development in FUSIONLoc™, a hidden fastening system designed for both AZEK and TimberTech grooved decking. FUSIONLoc™ offers both a fast installation, thanks to collated clips, and a strong connection, due to three points of connection. Originally developed for a pneumatic installation, AZEK Building Products now adds a hand driven option, only requiring a small guide and a drill for a fast, powerful installation.
Cortex® is a fastening system that uses plugs made from AZEK and TimberTech decking to hide a screw driven below the deck surface, and it is a great solution for perimeter and stair boards, among other uses. It features a high-quality, ACQ approved, specialty deck screw with a TORX® ttap® drive system, offering a wobble-free installation. New in 2018, AZEK Building Products is adding collated Cortex plugs that pre-align the grain on the plug, saving the installer time and effort.
