SKOKIE, IL—AZEK® Building Products, the industry’s leading maker of technologically advanced and high performance building materials, is featured in Southern Living’s 2017 Idea House. Located at 204 Whale Head Way on Bald Head Island, North Carolina, the home will be open to the public for tours between June 16 and October 29, with a party celebrating its reveal taking place on June 8. The home will also be featured in the August issue of Southern Living.
On its two-story porch structure design, the 2017 Idea House features AZEK’s Premiere Railing in white. The top tier railing collection offers both beauty and strength with its rot, peel and blister-resistant material that doesn’t require painting or staining to complete its signature Victorian profile. The home also showcases AZEK’s Porch Collection in Slate Gray, which boasts all the charm of a traditional porch with the lasting impact of high performance material. AZEK Porch is built to resist stains, scratches and fading and also stands up to harsh weather that a home on an island will face.

The Moser Design Group created the architectural design, Lindsey Coral Harper Interior Design spearheaded the interior design, and Whitney Blair Custom Homes joined the project as the builder for the 2017 Southern Living Idea House. Design enthusiasts can visit the home for $15, and a portion of each ticket benefits the Old Baldy Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining North Carolina’s oldest lighthouse, built in 1817.
