SCRANTON, PA—AZEK Pavers, which offer a hardscape solution for outdoor living spaces across North America, has hit a milestone by diverting more than 1 million scrap tires from landfills. Made with up to 95% recycled content, the manufacturing of AZEK Pavers to date is directly responsible for keeping more than 18 million pounds of scrap rubber and plastics out of U.S. landfills by utilizing more than 1 million recycled tires along with more than 34 million plastic containers. AZEK Paver manufacturing also uses 95 percent less energy and creates 96 percent less in CO2 emissions than conventional paver production.
AZEK Pavers, manufactured by AZEK Building Products, have become a viable alternative for patios, driveways, walkways and the resurfacing of decks, porches and balconies. Commercial contractors have found AZEK Pavers to be the perfect solution to transform flat roofs into living areas such as green roofs, restaurant and condo decks.

AZEK Pavers are available in three profiles: Standard Landscape, Permeable and Resurfacing Pavers. Standard Landscape pavers, in 4X8, 4X4 and new 8X8 size, are ideal for patios, walkways and driveways (standard sub base and aggregate is required); Permeable Pavers, 4×8 pavers designed for use in areas where water drainage is required to reduce storm water runoff; and Resurface Pavers are a 4×8 thinner paver that can be installed directly over existing slabs, decks and flat roofs. New finishing touches include a Resurfacing Bullnose to create a rounded edge and a Resurfacing Transition Paver with a slanted edge that acts as a mini ramp to transition to ground level.
AZEK Pavers are stain-, impact- and scratch-resistant, saving on installation time and labor compared to traditional concrete and brick pavers. Fitting into an innovative grid system and at less than half the weight of traditional pavers, they install up to three times faster than other pavers, with no special tools or masonry wet saws required. And AZEK Pavers are easy enough for a DIY project that offers long lasting good looks.
