SKOKIE, IL—AZEK, a CPG Building Products brand with more than 30 years of manufacturing experience making and marketing premium, low maintenance exterior building products, was recently announced as the winner in the Trim Category for the 2015 Peninsula Publishing Brand Survey. The yearly survey is associated with a variety of building magazines, including Builder & Developer, Options for Today’s Fine Homes, 50+ Builder, Residential Contractor, Green Home Builder and Builder Bytes, an e-newsletter.
“The home building professionals who participated in the 2015 Peninsula Publishing Building Materials Brand Preference Survey have made their selections and chose quality, well made materials in abundance this year,” said publisher and editor-in-chief of Peninsula Publishing Nick Slevin.
The survey names different winners from an array of categories as readers voted on best-in-class products from faucets and flooring to roofing and windows. With an undeniable focus on making high quality products and providing a great experience for contractors who install their products, AZEK’s team was pleased to hear that contractors favor their trim over competitors.
“We work hard to manufacture some of the best products available in the homebuilding industry, and this award is a testament to that,” CPG Building Products President Jason Grommon said. “Any award we receive is special, but this distinction for AZEK to be chosen by those that use our products on a daily basis speaks volumes to us. Recognition like this validates all that we do in order to develop cutting-edge products that builders need and want to use.”
The AZEK Trim product family includes trimboards, beadboard, cornerboards, column wrap, sheets, and unique specialty profiles such as Universal Skirt Board, Integrated Drip Edge and Finish Grade Trim. Many of the AZEK Trim products are available in smooth Traditional or rustic Frontier texture and most have four sealed edges to help the product stay clean during transport and installation. AZEK Trim products are ideal for use as door and window trim, porch ceilings, wainscoting, soffits, corners and much more.
Known for its durability and workability, AZEK Trim looks and feels like real wood, but never needs paint for protection. It is impervious to moisture and insects, and can even be worked similar to wood - mitered, routed, and turned on a lathe. AZEK Trim is easily laminated and can be heat formed to create curves, making it great for custom projects. It also comes with a 25-year warranty to ensure maximum dependability and carries a Building Code Report ESR-1074.
“As a leader in manufacturing premium building products, it is our mission to provide our customers with top of the line products that builders want to work with and homeowners want for the aesthetics and low maintenance,” Grommon said. “AZEK Trim, which was the original AZEK brand, continues to be one of our most important product lines. We appreciate that customers see the value AZEK Trim brings to a project. Looking forward, we are excited for further innovations in our trim line-up that provide more products to meet the ever-changing needs of builders and consumers.”
AZEK Building Products manufactures home building materials under two divisions: TimberTech® and AZEK Exteriors®. Together the brands present homeowners, builders, architects, dealers and contractors with a comprehensive suite of first-rate products that are long lasting, sustainable alternatives to wood. AZEK is headquartered in Chicago, IL (with plants in OH and PA) and also owns Minneapolis-based Ultralox railing systems.
