Are there any real woods that compare to the finish and color of the Harvest Collection boards?

Yes. The Harvest Collection captures a refined cathedral grain with soft, solid colors and varying peaks, giving you the inviting look of natural wood. Rather than mimicking one exotic species, Harvest offers an attractive, versatile wood aesthetic that suits a wide range of styles, from traditional to coastal.

Its soft, solid coloring delivers a clean, classic finish that pairs easily with many home exteriors. The colors evoke familiar wood tones:

Brownstone → warm, earthy brown wood

Slate Gray → weathered gray hardwood

Kona® → deep, rich brown tones

Can the Harvest Collection be used for non-deck applications? (ie. docks, porch, cladding)

The Harvest Collection is built specifically as a decking product, so it isn't offered in dedicated porch or cladding formats. Those tongue-and-groove porch and cladding options come in the Advanced PVC Vintage and Landmark Collections instead.

For finishing touches, Harvest does offer matching fascia and riser boards in all three colors, so you can wrap your deck's perimeter and steps for a clean, seamless look.

Docks: Harvest MAX boards in the Slate Gray color are 0.5″ thicker than standard Harvest boards, making them perfect for docks or other applications that require 24″ o.c. joist spacing.

Porch: Not available in the porch format.

Cladding: Not available in the cladding format.

What are the best fasteners to use with the Harvest Collection?

The best fastener depends on your board profile and the finished look you want. For the Harvest Collection Advanced PVC, recommended systems include:

What is the maximum joist spacing for the Harvest Collection?

For the Harvest Collection, follow the joist spacing outlined in the current TimberTech installation guide for your specific profile and application. Notably, Harvest MAX boards (available in Slate Gray) allow for 24-inch on-center installation, making them well-suited for dock-style projects.

What colors are widely available? Are there local exclusions?

Can the Harvest Collection be used near water? near salt water?

Yes. The Harvest Collection suits waterfront use, including pools, lakefronts, and coastal settings. Because it's Advanced PVC with no wood fibers, it offers the best moisture resistance — so you avoid the rot, swelling, and decay that affect wood near water. It also delivers up to 40% better traction than leading competitors, wet or dry, for safer footing around pools.

Is the Harvest Collection fire resistant? Is it compliant for fire zones?

Yes. The Harvest Collection is a strong choice for fire-prone areas. It carries two key designations:

- Class B Flame Spread Rating

- WUI Compliant (Wildland Urban Interface compliant)

The boards inhibit flame spread and resist catching fire from flying embers. Note that, unlike the Vintage, Landmark, and Harvest+ Collections, Harvest is rated Class B rather than Class A, and it isn't listed as Ignition Resistant. Even so, its WUI compliance makes it a sound option for many fire zones. Fire-zone codes vary by jurisdiction and assembly type, so always confirm final acceptance with your local building official.

What is the difference between the Harvest Collection and Harvest+ Collection®?

Both Harvest+ and Harvest collections are Advanced PVC decking with authentic wood looks and low-maintenance performance, but they differ in fire rating, appearance, sizing, and value tier.

Here's how they compare:

Fire rating: Harvest+ has a Class A Flame Spread Rating; Harvest carries a Class B Flame Spread Rating. Both are WUI Compliant.

Color and finish: Harvest+ features blended coloring with subtle highlights and lowlights for an aged patina look; Harvest offers solid, soft coloring for a simpler finish.

Widths: Harvest+ comes in standard width only; Harvest adds wider widths and MAX boards.

Value tier: Harvest+ is a more premium option.

Choose Harvest+ for richer color depth and a top-tier fire rating, or Harvest for solid colors and wider sizing.

Can FUSIONLoc be used for TimberTech Decking?

TimberTech no longer produces FUSIONLoc Hidden Fasteners, but they are compatible with all of our grooved deck boards.
