Get to know TimberTech Advanced PVC Decking
What is PVC?
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a highly durable type of plastic, and ours is manufactured without producing toxins or waste. More sustainable than wood, TimberTech Advanced PVC Decking is made from up to 60% recycled material — including waste from other manufacturers, construction sites, and more. Plus, at the end of their very long life, our boards can be recycled again.
How is it different from composite?
Unlike traditional composite decking, our Advanced PVC is engineered with zero organic material, like wood flour. This makes it highly resistant to moisture damage like mold, mildew, and rot — which is common with wood decking and many composite brands. Explore the difference.
What does “Advanced” mean?
Our innovative, proprietary technology creates PVC boards that resist scratching, fading, stains, and moisture better than earlier generations — and even other PVC brands — all while delivering rich colors and real wood textures you won’t find anywhere else. In comparison, many competitors have an unnatural or plastic-y look.

Inspired by nature, born from technology
Incredible, real wood looks
TimberTech Advanced PVC has an exclusive selection of natural, realistic styles, and no two boards look exactly alike. It’s all thanks to our advanced color technology, which delivers a wide range of natural textures and subtle, multitonal colors — for authentic wood looks you can’t find anywhere else.
Design versatility
Multiwidth Decking lets you choose from standard-, narrow-, and wide-width boards — or mix and match to create patterns, borders, or customize your style. Plus, Advanced PVC boards can be curved using heat bending for a show-stopping, one-of-a-kind look.
Top-rated fire resistance
To help harden your home against the threat of fire, TimberTech Advanced PVC Decking is a smart and beautiful option. Our Vintage and Landmark Collections have an Ignition Resistant designation and Class A Flame Spread Rating, and are also WUI Compliant — something traditional wood and composite decking can’t claim.

TimberTech Advanced PVC
Made with zero organic material, Advanced PVC shows no mold or moisture damage.1
Competitive Composite
Without capping on the underside, many composite decking products can absorb moisture, making them prone to mold and other moisture-related issues.
TimberTech Advanced PVC
Fade-resistant Advanced PVC shows no noticeable loss of its rich, beautiful color.2
Competitive Composite
Competitor composite is irrevocably faded and chalky. Flecks of wood flour in the cap are visible and may lead to moisture absorption.

Disclaimer:
1. Moisture testing was conducted internally. This test simulates 49 days of moisture exposure by placing saturated sponges in continuous contact with the underside of deck samples.
2. An independent, third party conducted fade testing under ASTM specifications D7032 using the ASTM standard practices G154, which exposes the boards to 2,150 hours of accelerated weathering.
3. Depending on environmental conditions, TimberTech Composite Deck colors may appear to change over time as part of the natural weathering process consistent with the warranty guarantees where applicable.
4. See Fire Resistance details here.
5. Although TimberTech PVC Decking is cooler to the touch than many other deck board products, all decking products will get hot in the sun. Additionally, the darker the decking color, the hotter it will feel. For hotter climates, consider choosing a lighter color. See Cool Touch details here
