3D Deck Design Tours: Lakefront Living

For the perfect place for backyard bashes, take it to the lake!

Ah, Minnesota. The land of 10,000 lakes and home to some of the harshest winter weather conditions in the country. Some decking materials may bow to the pressure brought on by months of snow, sleet, and freezing rain ― but not TimberTech® AZEK® boards. These capped polymer deck boards are made to handle anything mother nature can throw their way ― and look damn good while doing it. As proof, we present this duet of TimberTech AZEK Coastline® and Dark Hickory decking.

TimberTech AZEK Porch boards in trendy Coastline were used for the center inlay in the middle of the deck for a narrow board width coupled with a tight tongue-and-groove feel. These boards were also used under the white fascia running the perimeter of the deck.

Deck included space for amenities like a fire feature, outdoor kitchen, and a bar that doubled as a buffet.

Using a little heat (and a lot of experience on the part of the contractor) the boards on the edge of the deck were curved to create a unique framing feature.
