The iconic Southern home debuted in the November issue of Traditional Home, and is available to visitors interested in viewing what is new and trendy in home construction and décor. Public tours run now through December 8 at 20 West Taylor Street.
The freestanding Greek Revival home in the heart of Savannah’s Landmark Historic District boasts unparalleled views of Monterey Square and was restored with original details including plaster moldings, heart pine floors and marble fireplaces. What was once divided into four apartments is now an elegant four-story, 5,500 square-foot single-family home with an outdoor courtyard.
The design team chose AZEK Deck’s Vintage Collection® alongside AZEK’s Evolutions Rail®Contemporary in Black with round Aluminum Balusters to build a custom skybridge that connects the new roof deck above the parking garage to the home. AZEK Deck was selected because the product is made with the latest in materials science innovation, resists scratches, stains, insects, moisture damage, mold and mildew, and has a Class A flame spread rating. All AZEK Deck products carry industry-best 30-year fade and stain and limited lifetime warranties. AZEK® Trim is also complementing the home’s exterior, offering the look of real wood, and retaining its like-new appearance despite the tests of time and weather.
