The Best Warranty Coverage

TimberTech products are engineered the right way, to last. And many are covered by leading warranties. See full warranty details.

Why are my plugs not sitting flush to the deck surface?

If plugs are not sitting flush to the deck, make sure you have the depth adjustment set correctly. Each box of collated screws includes a small guide which can be used to check the setting on the tool, and to check the depth of the hole after driving a screw.

Can I use this system to install composite deck boards?

No. Due to the pre-drill requirements for composite deck boards, we do not recommend the use of this tool.

What if I don't drive the screw straight?

It is critical to your build that all install requirements are met while using this tool, including the deck screws being fully imbedded in the joist. If the tool is not operated at 90 degrees to the deck surface, there is risk of screws protruding out the side of the joist. Slight deviations from 90 degrees will not interfere with plug installation, but screws protruding from the joist is an improper installation.
