Introduction

This gorgeous estate in College Grove, Tennessee is a replica of its 1800s-built predecessor. The homeowners knew they wanted to maintain the traditional look and feel of the home — yet still showcase their unique style and penchant for purposeful design. The professionals at Hatcliff Construction, in partnership with Southern Living Magazine’s Custom Builder Program, were ready to take on the challenge.

The build team knew they wanted to exclusively use TimberTech Advanced PVC® decking and porch products for all seven of the home’s attached outdoor living spaces. They chose TimberTech Advanced PVC for its superior capped polymer construction, nuanced grain patterns, and color-blended beauty. Contemporary Coastline® deck and porch boards brought a fresh look to the traditional-style home, while AZEK®Trim and Moulding in crisp white complemented its warm gray tones and the home’s black roof, doorframes, and windows.  The build team created captivating inlay designs — including stripe and herringbone patterns — thanks to Multi-Width Decking from the TimberTech Advanced PVC Vintage Collection. The final product? An elegant home as inviting as Southern hospitality.

• Narrow- and wide-width deck boards in Coastline in an alternating pattern achieve a modern striped effect throughout the master bedroom private deck

• AZEK Trim as fascia along the back porches combines the superior moisture resistance of cellular PVC with an attractive semi-matte finish and crisp white that matches the home’s exterior
