White Composite Decking TimberTech PRO Legacy Collection WhiteWash Cedar

When you think of white composite decking, it likely evokes a sense of airiness, brightness, and a clean aesthetic. But did you know you aren’t limited to pure white decking to get the look you want (without the heat build-up you don’t)?

TimberTech® decking comes in two alluring almost-white shades:

From the TimberTech® PRO® Legacy Collection.

French White Oak is a white composite decking option by TimberTech

French White Oak®

From the TimberTech AZEK® Landmark Collection.

We also offer several light colored composite deck boards, in light gray and light tan, that evoke the same pristine aesthetics of white while still keeping a cooler feel than competitors’.*

*Although TimberTech AZEK and certain TimberTech PRO decking products are cooler to the touch than many other deck board products, all decking products will get hot in the sun. Additionally, the darker the decking color, the hotter it will feel. For hotter climates, consider choosing a lighter color.

Light & Almost-White Composite Decking From TimberTech

TimberTech decking is designed with subtle nuances in grain pattern and color blending to give each board the nature-inspired look of traditional wood. Lightest Composite Decking Options

New in 2022, French White Oak®  brings the ever-chic French provincial style outdoors. Like all hues in the Landmark Collection, French White Oak®  features a crosscut grain pattern and unique color blending for a rustic, reclaimed wood look.

French White Oak® also:

Helps your space feel more expansive and echoes the latest interior flooring trend by keeping things light and bright.

Creates an inviting look and feel with its warm, subtle shades of natural oak, tannins, and gray undertones.

Our decking portfolio also includes many light colored composite decking materials — from contemporary grays to airy, light tans — that offer all the aesthetic and performance benefits of white composite decking.

Gray and tan colors are less likely to show dirt, debris, and foot traffic as quickly as pure white, which means you’ll spend fewer days cleaning your deck. They also offer design-forward styles that are highly sought after by lovers of clean, contemporary home aesthetics.

White Isn’t The Only Color That Stays Cool

As kids, we learned that white minimizes heat build-up. Thanks to leading materials technology, we’ve extended the comfortable foot feel of a white deck to other colors as well.

TimberTech® AZEK® deck boards are designed to up to 30° cooler* than competitive products, making them a great choice for decks in full sun and poolside decks.

*Although TimberTech AZEK decking products are cooler to the touch than many other deck board products, all decking products will get hot in the sun. Additionally, the darker the decking color, the hotter it will feel. For hotter climates, consider choosing a lighter color.

How to Examine Your Boards

To ensure you choose the perfect color for your outdoor living space, order free samples of our lightest and brightest deck boards and place them in the area your deck will be built. Observe how they look at different times of the day and in different lighting.

Keep in mind when viewing your samples at home that the boards’ colors will look brighter or darker depending on several factors:

  • Lighting – In lower light, the deck boards will appear darker, while in brighter light, they will appear lighter.
  • The colors around the boards – Furnishings and decor can affect the perceived color of your deck boards – darker furniture, for instance, will create a greater contrast to white or light deck boards and make them appear brighter.
  • The angle at which light hits the deck boards or at which they’re viewed can affect the appearance of your deck boards, making them appear lighter or darker. Set your boards out in different lighting at different times of day to really get a feel for how your deck would look.

Now that you know pure white composite decking isn’t your only option, order free samples of our lightest colors to get a close-up look at our nature-inspired hues.
